How to Measure Your Bay Window

Because every bay window is unique, each of our sofa cushions is made strictly to your exact measurements for a seamless, tailor-made fit. Follow our simple guide below before placing your custom inquiry.

Bay Window Measurement Guide - Straight, L-Shaped, Trapezoid, Curved

Step 1: Determine Your Window Shape

  • Straight Bay Window: A standard single rectangular window sill.
  • L-Shaped Bay Window: Two intersecting window sills meeting at a corner.
  • Trapezoid / Multi-Angled Bay Window: Three or more angled window sections.
  • Curved / Semi-Circular Bay Window: Rounded or arc-shaped bay window sills.

Step 2: Key Dimensions to Measure

  • Length / Width (A): Measure the total inner length along the front edge and back wall of the window sill. If walls are slightly uneven, note both or provide the narrower dimension.
  • Depth (B): Measure from the back wall/window glass to the front edge of the window sill at both ends and in the middle.
  • Thickness / Clearance (C): Check the clearance between the window sill and window handles or low-opening frames to ensure smooth window opening.
